The Ceremony
The ceremony will start at 4:30 followed by cocktail hour and then a dinner reception and dancing. We will be outside in Tom and Sandra's backyard. There is parking in the way back of the yard.
We do have a large tent in case of rain. The ground may be soft or uneven in places so be careful with those 6 inch spike heels.
About Asheville
Asheville is a beautiful little mountain town with plenty to do. We know you will enjoy your stay.
Blue Ridge Parkway - Take a drive and get out and look around. The views along the parkway are outstanding. South to Mount Pisgah or north to Mount Mitchell, you can't go wrong. parkway info
Downtown - lots of shops, people watching and restaurants; park the car and spend a few hours walking around.
Eats - our favorites include Mamacita's (burritos), Sunny Point (brunch), Tupelo Honey (fancy southern cookin'), Early Girl (more fancy southern), Laughing Seed (schmancy vegetarian), and Rosetta's (radical vegetarian). list of restaurants
Hike - Go on a hike while you are here, you won't regret it - our favorite is Pilot Cove Loop info
Weather - Mid-April could bring anything from night time lows in the 40's to daytime highs in the low 70s. We are hoping for a nice crisp sunny spring day with temperatures in the 60s for the ceremony. We will have a big tent set up just in case it rains.
